He seems to represent his city well in any area he’s touring in. Marvin “Chuck Ray” Gorden experienced his first love for music as a child, Marvin spent most of his years as a child on 76th St.Clair he always questioned himself of what his profession would be when he got to become an adult realizing his talent for repairing technology and writing music at 10 years of age. His mother Regina Chavers & father Marvin Gorden later moved to a different location when Marvin was 9 he knew as a kid that he was special and his talent for repairing technology and writing music was not just a dream for him he was sure to turn what we call “just a dream” into “reality”. Marvin begin to take his passion for music serious and begin making it very evident to his peers that music was his plan and he began his journey towards his dream to become not just a rapper but a icon to the young black community.This young man with dreams wasn’t always on the right track to his goals and achievements in life, he was a young guy who believed in grasping the crowd attention, rather it was disrupt class time with peers cracking jokes and holdin lots of conversation that had nothing to do with his education the teachers and staff of any school that he attended made it clear to his parents that he had the title as a “class clown”. Marvin grew up in a well kept household, his parents were married for over 18 years.So unlike a lot of Marvin’s friends he had a strong father figure in his life, Marvin was not raised alone he was accompanied by 1 older brother and 3 sisters Marvin is the third oldest of this union. Marvin would do all the things any other kid liked to enjoy at a pre-teen’s age hanging with friends,video games, sports, flirting with girls, and chill out on the porch with friends until the street lights came on. School was becoming a “non-factor” to Marvin, cutting classes before the bell rings for the next class was a normal thing for him, Marvin stated to me as he took a long drag of his joint filled with marijuana, “at the time, money was my mission I was 16 and stupid,with crazy & wild peers but I had a plan and my plan wasn’t stupid”
