27MILES features the original founder: singer, songwriter and guitarist Kevin Solomon, a.k.a. Solly. Frontman Solly brings masterfully adept guitar work, and a powerful, emotion-eliciting gravel voice. On rhythm/lead guitar Daniel Meier has been playing in rock bands since he was 15. Originally from South Carolina but moved to LA 9 years ago with former band Ultravibe. Guitar influences are Angus Young, SRV, Hendrix, Dean DeLeo, Kim Thayil. On Bass, Dale Wainio prefers his Gibson Explorer bass for that classic warmth of the old school. Kurt Custer, “formerly of Lynyrd Skynyrd” circa,“1990-94” on Drums and back-up Vocals. In 1990, Ed King, from Lynyrd Skynyrd, called and loved his drum work on the Copperhead Road,”Steve Earle” record so much, he asked him to join Lynyrd Skynyrd and he did in November of 1990 and was with Skynyrd four years and toured the world. Custer currently plays with 27MILES since Feb 2009.
