Heart Vs. Head

I wrote this song about what I had to do in a relationship vs. what I wanted to do. I stayed. My heart told me to follow the love, my head told me there were bills to pay and food to buy. My art came second. But the pull was too much and music filled me again. There was no way to end it. Music is heroin to the soul. In the end I cut my hair, shaved my beard and put on a white shirt and tie. I still wonder what I could have done.
