I wrote this song after going through a tough breakup with my girlfriend a couple years back. I was moving away and we didn't want a long distance relationship. If you listen to the words of the songs, it does a slight "Pulp Fiction" approach (starting at the end in a way). The guy has a dream about a girl getting her heart broken by a guy because he took her for granted. He ends up dating this girl only to find out that he was the guy in the dream.
