After All

I included "After All" on "No One's Dolly" because it really fit with the album's theme, which is all about being independent but also lonely. I wrote "After All" following a breakup of a year-long relationship. The line that says "I could have sang to you" has to do with the fact that I found out that I really felt the most like myself when I sang. But I never sang for this person. I want to sing for Lilith Fair!
