Lyrics

I am a traveler from a different age Bound to discover the evergreen plains Running from the nightmares I've come to call my past Seeing the state I'm into I don't except to last I wanna come clean. Forget the place where I’ve been seen I have the homesick spleen and I've been cruising Through the motions of a colourless dream I'm not trying to relate Or to make you feel great Just talking for the modern tribesman Where he's been what he’s done what he's seen I'm not trying to be cool I don’t wanna set the mood Just striving for a break To get my mind strait and elevate Traveling along from east to west Walking all alone one my quest My mind's on autonav and my body aches I got good times bad times and brand new friends I've been across the mountains and overseas I seen the city lights and the country fields Still missing a line but I don't care The whole damn message is till pretty clear I could be the singer on a stadium stage Or the rich son of a banker on a tropical holiday Instead I'm just a traveler a light year from his home I got a thousand miles on the counter but I still can't see my goal I wanna come clean. Forget the place where I’ve been seen I wanna be done But I can't find my way back home I have the homesick spleen and I've been cruising Through the motions of a colourless dream But all and all it’s a beautiful place All connected to the city’s heart pace Crime is a gangrene and the city’s dying But all we do is keep on trying Oh oh City of Angels and I'm not trying to relate Or to make you feel great Just talking for the modern tribesman Where he's been what he’s done what he's seen I'm not trying to be cool I don’t wanna set the mood Just striving for a break To get my mind strait and elevate Traveling along from east to west Walking all alone one my quest My mind's on autonav and my body aches I got good times bad times and brand new friends I've been across the mountains and overseas I seen the city lights and the country fields Still missing a line but I don't care The whole damn message is till pretty clear
