Lullabye

I wanted to write a song with a simple melodic idea, hence the title. Using this motif, I used rhythmic permutations to propel the idea and develop some progression and tension. I wrote a chord progression for the bridge that was in a relative minor key in order to maintain the melody. I have always been fascinated with simple individual parts and the way they can create complexity when layered properly. They begin to interact with each other by themselves.
