You & I

This song tells a true story. I was with my boyfriend and we were sitting outside a cafe, in the middle of a small argument. There was a pigeon on the road in front of us, who had been run over. It was dead, but one wing was pointing straight up. I love animals and felt heartbroken. The combination of emotions I felt, plus the stark imagery of the concrete, sky, life and death all came together and allowed me to write this song.
