Description
"Brother Mine" is from Monona and Coolwhite's first album, "...Finally". The death of Nick Miller's brother and Danny Hull's friend, Matt, was the impetus for writing the song "Brother Mine", and is dedicated to those who have lost a loved one long before their time.
Lyrics
Well, it's cold and raining as I sit down and write this song The season's changing, and it's been hard to get along Since you've gone, I guess I think about you all the time I can't see you, but I still hear you, Brother Mine Many times we had our moments, many times we had our fights Sometimes we hit rock bottom, sometimes we scaled the heights I always thought you'd be around to keep me right in line I can't see you, but I still hear you, Brother Mine Brother Mine, I can hear your voice so strong Telling me to carry on Pushing on through these dark and lonely times Brother Mine, all the things you'll never see What a price you paid to be free I can't see you, but I still hear you, Brother Mine I'll miss the way you'd smile and wave when you came in the door I can't believe I won't have you here to lean on anymore I didn't think it would be so hard to be the one that's left behind I can't touch you, but I still feel you, Brother Mine Can't hide my sorrow at your passing Though sorrow shared does bring relief Reliving happy memories with old friends Helps lift away the grief I'll see you on the other side when it's my dying time I can't touch you, but I still feel you, Brother Mine Brother Mine, always with me from the start Living forever in my heart Pushing on through these dark and lonely times Brother Mine, all the things we'll never do What strength I have has come from you I can't touch you, but I still feel you, Brother Mine Brother Mine, Brother Mine, Brother Mine
