"City Lights" describes the hopelessness of the city from a homeless persons point of view. Having been homeless myself a few times in my life, it's important to me to make people aware of the situation.

Every night I see the city lights buzzing like an ancient lullaby but there's no mercy on the street for those who stay awake when the city goes to sleep No room for sympathy you have to watch your back everywhere you go nothing's ever what it seems and I close my eyes I wish I could dream I wanna fly away fly away but I know I can not breath outside my head Every night seems like eternity my own shadow's my worst enemy I can not recall who I was and it seems to late all memories will fade my face burnt from the heat I have a conversation with myself too many things that used to make me bleed and I close my eyes I wish I could dream I wanna fly away fly away but I know I can not feel outside my head
