First, I wanted to write a song with a one-word title.I thought it was interesting, and the word "Torture" was perfect. And then, of course, its absolute torture to love someone who doesn't love you back, and worse if you live with that person.This was co-written with honky tonk artist "Gary Stewart",who wanted to record it , but his label deemed it "Too Rock".
