Description
I rewrote the lyrics a few year ago when my wife asked me to play this. Loenard Cohen used King Davids story as an allegory for romance gone bad. I changed it to a praise song and recorded it as a whole new entity.
Lyrics
I've heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord A chord that moved a song of praise right though ya It goes like this The fourth, the fifth The minor fall, the major lift The prophet king declaring Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelu-uuu-ujah The breath of God in the Spirits touch When he rains His fire in a holy rush Speaks the beauty of unending God into you. You know that from His heavenly throne He holds a place for you alone How can our lips but cry out hallelujah I know that you're a God above And all I ever learned from love Has turned the world just to draw me to you A still small voice I can hear at night A holy touch, a guiding light Gives me my voice and I sing hallelujah
