Canzonetta

This piece was inspired by Italian Baroque composer Bernardo Pasquini's Canzonetta as recorded by the great duo guitarists Ida Presti and Alexandre Lagoya. I spent hours laboriously transcribing the Pasquini piece to notation and then trying to record both parts, fascinated by the dense and joyous counterpoint. I don't believe any styles are obsolete. Myriad musical treasures from the past lie unexplored, awaiting the opening of your heart. Here's my tribute to these masters of music.
