Last year my nephew was gunned down in his driveway after an argument with a friend at a bar in upper state New York. On the very same weekend my neighbor lost his best friend in a fatal traffic accident. He was asked to sing at the funeral and asked if I could help him with a song. I wrote this for Luke, he was 29.
