PlayAmerican Trilogy

by Bill Mentz

This song was recorded at Counterpart Creative Studios in Cincinnati, Ohio with the Van-Dells. The lead vocal was done in one take! I've always LOVED the Elvis version of the song, and wanted to keep the same kind of "vibe." We, the Van-Dells, used the song in our show as an encore, and when we did it in the South, people would stand and hold lighters and cheer. It was sometimes very emotional, in a good way!
