Description
Amongst the 20 years of songs I have written this song often stands out as a favourite among fans. I was inspired by Native American chants at the time, originally written in 1997, and developed it into a Hindi like song. This is a recent re-recording, I tried to capture the original ideas however more fully realised.
Lyrics
Above The Taj Mahal High up here up here high high high high, High up here up here high high high, Where the stars are full of the crying God Where He thirsts for love above the Taj Mahal. High up here up here high high high high, High up here up here high high high, Above the Taj Mahal. One man’s task is to raise a home, Another man’s task is to work alone, A third man’s task is to serve the throne, A fourth man’s task is to sing God’s song. High up here up here high high high high, High up here up here high high high, Where the stars are full of the crying God, Where He thirsts for love above the Taj Mahal. High up here up here high high high high, High up here up here high high high, Above the Taj Mahal. One woman’s task is to bear a child, Another woman’s task is to teach of life, A third woman’s task is to pour the wine, A fourth woman’s task is to shine God’s light. High up here up here high high high high, High up here up here high high high, Where the stars are full of the crying God, Where He thirsts for love above the Taj Mahal. High up here up here high high high high, High up here up here high high high, Above the Taj Mahal.
