Description
I had come with this melody and can remember my son saying. That's a real cool sounding melody dad don't mess this one up, come up with the right words. After several weeks, I decided on "Family Man". I realized that I had heard songs about all kinds of men, but never the family man. And besides, I wanted people to know where I am coming from.
Lyrics
Verse1 He puts out fires, he fixes cars, he works the soil, he fights our wars He’s heart and soul of this land, I’m talkin’ ‘bout the family man He has a lady he adores, side by side forever more His children they understand, their papa is a lovin’ man Chorus 1 Family man, family man, where would we be, without the family man Family man, family man, like a rock, he will stand Family man, family man, God bless the heart, of the family man Family man, family man, heart and soul, of this land Family man, family man, carry on, family man Verse 2 He’s around both night and day, ‘xcept when he goes to earn his pay He doesn’t have a lot to say, but he’s always home to lead the way He’s modest with a gentle hand, but there’s somethin’ you should understand Don’t mess with the loved ones of this man, or you’ll feel the wrath of the Family man Chorus 2 Family man, family man, where would we be, without the family man Family man, family man, like a rock, he will stand Family man, family man, God bless the heart of the family man Family man, family man, heart and soul, of this land Family man, family man, carry on, family man Carry On (spoken)
