Description
This song was originally a love song called "Midnight summer dream," but it (unconsciously) transformed into an individualist song called "Powerlines." It's about standing up for what's right even when it's unpopular. A good example of this is Patrick Henry's famous "Liberty or death" speech. He is one of my long-term heroes and inspirations. In the end, I changed the name of the song to "Standing alone," inspired by the lyrics of Within Temptation's song "Overcome."
