Description
Although most of our songs are more of a ballrd-rock genre, I wrote this country song at my wife's request. I wanted to relay the warmth, comfort and forgiving-nature of a real country woman. Written in 1st person, from a woman's perspective, she reflects on what she does have and dreams of those things she may "one day" have ... Thus, my " Old World Girl "...... Bobby Jack Bolin
Lyrics
Old World Girl I’m an old world girl. The kind that likes love in the afternoon. To bed by nine, Early to rise ‘cause I’ve got things to do. An old world girl, Don’t have nothing to prove. Old fashioned ladies, Love lace and bows on a feather bed. Settle’s my mind, I believe in time that we’ll have everything. A big ol’ house with a porch on the front. A candle-light dinner for two. Dreams and things for all of the kids, And a chance for the man on the moon…… This country woman, Sings a gentle song with an easy touch. It soothes my mind, Lay down to find, no need to worry much. An old world girl, Just finds time for such. The place to start is to follow my heart, So it leads me through to see. It keeps me strong on all that’s true, For life, for love, for me… ( repeat first chorus ) I’m an old world girl……….
