Naivete

This is a spoken piece I wrote following the sudden disappearance of a fella I had been seeing. It was so unlike him to not return a call or email and I was shocked. When I did hear back from him I learned that I was not entirely wrong after all, but that he was indeed afraid of many things, and therefore, was an entirely different person that I thought. And then I realized that was ok, and that this piece could speak to many people, in any type of relationship.
