Description
Originally recorded as a piano ballad off of my debut album "Love Songs for the Hateful" (2004), I re-recorded it on acoustic guitar and added some tambourine and shakers and put this version on my second album "TWELVE" (2008)
Lyrics
You walk up to my door, you knock, you’re dressed in red You’re trying to seduce me But just to use me… You’re leaving lengthy messages on my phone You’re thinking I’ll feel guilty because I’m happy… You broke into my dream last night, so real… Trying to bring reason to our old hunting season… I walk around the world without you I never even talk about you I hang around with friends who know me You never really cared about me But now that I have love inside my heart It’s minus you… Winter came and went without your voice around Handing me confusion So now you’re losing Once upon a time you made me feel so old I felt my dreams were long gone But now they’ve come home… I walk around the world without you I never even talk about you I hang around with friends who know me You never really cared about me But now that I have love inside my heart It’s minus you…
