Old Ghosts is about revisiting the town where you grew up, going to your favorite old bar, and seeing people you knew long ago in your life, maybe in high school, that have stayed in your hometown and have become permanent fixtures in that bar. You may have been friends at one point, but they faded to acquaintances until you don't speak to them at all, and they sit there at the bar in the background like ghosts.
