Description
If you've ever been away from your woman too long, you'll know exactly where this one came from. I'd been on the road for a few weeks straight, and ached to hold her, longed to be back spending time with her. The lyrics pretty much wrote themselves at that point, right up to those "flatlands east of Denver" that seemed to crawl by beneath the plane on the final leg of the trip home.

Run Back to You © 2010 Jason Craig All Rights Reserved You know the race don’t always go to the swift But to those who keep runnin’ But after all this time spent away Don’t know if I’m going or coming These flatlands east of Denver never seem to end And girl with you I know I got some fences left to mend I’ve been anchored to this schedule For entirely too long And the hand that I been dealt on this road Feels like a sad country song But I’ve got one more card left on the table It’s the one that brings me back to you As fast as I am able I’m gonna run back to you Run back to you I’m gonna do what I need to do Gonna run back to you Run right back to you Each and every day away from you gives me fits girl Gotta see you feel your body taste your love on my lips girl If I don’t get back to you I might explode now So I’m setting land speed records on this road now I’m gonna run back to you Run back to you I’m gonna do what I need to do Gonna run back to you Run right back to you
