Description
"Little Island" was written my first February back after the move to Martha's Vineyard from L.A.... The walk had ended. I had given up. I was defeated, broken and camping out in my brother's guestroom. I felt like I was living in a coastal living catalogue that my brother and sister in law created. The song came to me in the silence I had sought for so long. The silence that carried me here... no more buzz. I was awake.
Lyrics
I don't want to think anymore tonight I don't want to know what I could have done right 3000 miles, 28 days February's east coast cold has got me thinkin' funny ways (Chorus 2x) Goodbye (3x) To all those city lights I know I never answered your endless phone calls I knew if I heard your voice I might just fall Sorry baby, I hope you understand Sometimes to find yourself, you gotta break some plans (Chorus 2x) Goodbye (3x) To all those city lies It takes a little island It takes a little snow 6 years and 16 cities to find my way home And as I sing sweet Wyatt to sleep I've finally found it, my moment of peace (Chorus 2x) Goodbye (3x) To all those city lights
