Description
"My Home" was written for a show on NBC called "Operation Inspiration" that debuted on June 29th 2013. It's a country/rock song about the people who fight for this country to give us the freedoms and traditions we take for granted everyday. Every sale of the song on iTunes goes towards helping military families in need through our partnership with Operation Homefront (www.operationhomefront.net).
Lyrics
I live in a place Where the kids can play outside… Where we all head to the ballgame Underneath those burning lights And I know without a doubt When I lay my head down at night That someone’s looking over me In my blue, red and white My home… I’m proud to say My home… I get to stay Because heroes are fighting Day after day So I can keep calling this place… My home Sweet tea in the Southland Made strong just like her pride And every back yard with a BBQ Burning hot on a weekend night We go to church without a worry We say whatever’s on our minds ‘cause someone I don’t even know’s Fighting for my blue, red and white CHORUS BRIDGE (instrumental) CHORUS x2 Written By Scott Ivey SIC Publishing / ASCAP (IPI# 344728353) Scott Ivey Band Members: - Scott Ivey (lead vocals, guitar) - Nathan Mirabella (vocals, lead guitar) - Ryan Snow (drums) - Mark Dejaynes (bass guitar) - Sean Newberry (guitar, vocals)
