Description

This is a song I wrote when my marriage was coming to an end and I was still trying to save it but in my heart I knew she was already gone. It's about the war with your own demons... in this case, my fight with "the twisted man".

Lyrics

The Twisted Man I sold it all for a pipe dream doll and a bag of dusty weed he had a twisted grin, and he said it was a great deal and i pushed on through with my eyes closed to the reality of the scene and he taught me to ignore the way i feel. i signed my name there's no mistake with a red pen on the line but i didn't read the fine print or the bold and when you said to me how i used to be it turned me into who i am but you're saying that it just might be too late is it too late? this little door i wrote sermons for the one about the righteous path i propped my weight against it one too many times i've had so many excuses but somehow they lose their strength along the way coz now i realize excuses aren't reasons and when you said to me how i used to be i turned me into who i am but you're saying that it just might be too late and you broke me down and shoved off my crown and it smashed upon the floor and the man underneath is so small so unsure is it too late? for what it's worth i'm sorry i kicked that man right in the teeth and i told him that he never can return and his lawyer lies and empty eyes can now belong to another man and the ones i hold for you are deep and true is it too late?
