Lyrics
I was raised in a little town, south of Detroit City, and rock and roll was all I found, in the Motor City, we had Seger, Ted Nugent, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, back in 85' I realized Southern Rock was Country, David Allan Coe, Charlie Daniels, and Waylon Jennings... Well I packed up and headed down walkin on Music Row, and I threw a little of that "Outlaw" music in all of my country shows, David Allan Coe, Charlie Daniels, and Waylon Jennings, She's a good hearted woman who never called me by name, the devil went down to Georgia, and the South's gonna do it again, these are good ole' boys fron Lukenback Texas, a ramblin' man, and a long haired redneck, if that ain't Country, I'll take the ride! My momma raised me to grow up to be a Honky Tonk hero...for a simple man it ain't easy to be a Honky Tonk hero... She's a good hearted woman who never called me by my name, the devil went down to Georgia, and the South's gonna do it again, these are good ole' boys from Lukenback Texas, a ramblin' man and a long haired redneck, if that ain't country, I'll take the ride, if that ain't country, I'll take the ride, Lord if that ain't country, I'll take the ride.
