needle in a haystack yesterday you opened up your eyes and realized this world really isn't quite right and they stung, like someone had dumped lemon juice in them they stung and were so hard to close you had to call up your friend for help and you know, a funny thing your friend for some reason had the very same problem cause' you're both good people someone will rightfully say then go on about their work go on about their day as if nothing at all had happened as if nothing had happened! but how will you sleep if your eyes can't close how will you ignore what's going on anymore? you'll go insane, they say, if ya can't get any rest well maybe insanity is now what we need best you are not a needle in a haystack you are not in this struggle for peace you are not a needle in a haystack your eyes are opened and what you do now can change everything and you ran outside to tell someone what you felt but everyone walked around like they were all sorted out following the routine of their own day perfect little wheels grinding in the greater machine and you felt the need to shout out at the top of your lungs so you did, and would you know it, someone was listening and wanted to know more so you went and had coffee thriving with deep conversation and everyone will say it's just the brightest part of your day it's just a moment, and it'll wash away and they will discourage you and say discussion doesn't mean a thing but if you respect each other and listen we can drown them out quickly you are not a needle in a haystack
