2nd to Her is a song about falling for the wrong person. It was most certainly inspired by the choices I made in my 20s. Now, in my 30s, I don't need somebody to tell me pretty words to be confident with myself. It's also about truly letting go of the pain associated with those relationships, and realizing that everybody makes mistakes...so wish them well! Everybody is deserving of love!
