Description
It was a family tradition growing up to watch "White Christmas" every year on Christmas Eve, and Rosemary Clooney seemed to me to be the epitome of womanhood. There is a scene where she comes out in a black velvet dress and sings to Bing Crosby. The setting for that moment is full of romantic promise and tension, and this song is about my longing to be the kind of woman who elicits that response.
