This song is something that for us reflected the anger and dismay at the current economic conditions in the US and the world. Obviously this is from the perspective of the majority who feel they contributed little to the meltdown. Starting with comparing "before times" to the present as seen in an old photo, the song rounds out with taking a grim delight in just sitting back and watching it all go down the drain. But at least the girl still has her loved one with her to watch...
