I wrote this song while I was working as a waitress and putting myself through college. You get so tired living off of no sleep, burning the candles at both ends, and all because you have a dream for something better. Meanwhile it takes a toll on your relationships with others.

I was feeling so tired that I didn't think I could take it. And after two pots of coffee I'm so wired that I feel like shit. How long can this go on? It's already been four years. Just trying to take each day one by one and denying all my fears..well Someday, the sun will have to shine. I keep on dreaming, well I'm dreaming all the time. Don't know if the day is ever going to come, when I feel like the battle is won. I'm hating my job. It's always just another day. When I have to keep on pushing everybody out of my way. How long can this go on? It's already been too long. Just gotta keep on thinking that someday I will be so strong...and Then night falls and it's time to go home. and you are beside me yet sometimes I feel so alone. Too many things left to do it's all swimming in my head. Yet all that I can do is pass out in my bed well...
