Stream-of-consciousness storytelling and soothing repetition with just the right amount of subtle variation keep the listener active. Transitions are seamless between sung and instrumental sections, smoothness and scratching, and the simple, pervasive three-note motive and its many variations. The video looks like a band rehearsal viewed through a kaleidoscope--a nice effect. More interestingly though, the music sounds a little that way too.
