Under The Texas Sky

Description
I started forming this song when I was literally putting my last 10 bucks toward a quarter of a tank of gasoline at a Shell station in Ardmore, OK. Mile marker 32. The song is about me being on the road as a traveling musician, but wherever I may be out in this great big world my heart is always "Under The Texas Sky" with the one I love.
Lyrics
1st verse Just spent my last ten bucks on a quarter of a tank of gasoline / Thirty two miles from the Texas line in a quarter that's where I'll be / With a little luck I'll have just enough to make it to Dallas by nine / With a little more I'll make it to the door of my sweet baby tonight chorus I've been out on this road spending dollars making dimes / It's a lonely crazy life I've come to lead / But tonight it's cheap wine / A sweet angel by my side / no matter where on earth I may be / My heart is always under the Texas Sky 2nd verse Leaving Oklahoma the Red River shines in the moonlight / Welcome to Texas sure is a welcome sight / Rundown honky tonks and miles of asphalt can make for a lonely life / yeah it's good to know I won't be alone in the lonestar state tonight repeat chorus bridge When she says hey baby in that sweet southern drawl / And she runs out to meet me as soon as I pull up / That look in her eyes is nothing but love repeat chorus to end
