Everybody Knows ( John Legend )

I was so moved by John's lyrics that I decided to basically re-create his song. I kept the words/chords, but changed the melody/tempo to express the underlying bittersweet sentiment of the song. I know this isn't your standard approach to a "cover". But I think the beautiful thing about covering another artist's song, is that the end result is a blend of two artists ideas, talents, and souls. The coming together creates something brand new, and in this way, the music lives on.
