Halfway Home was recently a finalist in the 15th Anual Billboard Song Contest's R&B category. John's dad plays trumpet, Tom Haller of Drive Thru Records plays drums, Baptiste Ibar of Banana Apple Records plays bass, and Karla Chisholm provides background vocals.
