Ready To Fly

I wrote this song the day my eldest daughter moved out of the house to be closer to her job. She was the first of my 5 children to leave the nest. It was a bitter sweet day ,packing her things. We were excited for her but also sad that our little girl was not a little girl anymore. As we watched her drive away I was flooded with emotion and locked myself in my music room and started writing about her childhood and momories of her. I still cry when I sing it..
