When I was just a little boy I did not know about life I did not know that your dreams don’t come true sometimes. Now that I am older I have to face reality. Sometimes I wish I could go back To those simple things. Once I was a soldier I carried a gun I thought I was protecting my wife and my son. Now I have no wife I have no son The battle in me can not be won. When I close my eyes I see the darkness inside. Its getting harder everyday to stay alive. I used to be a dreamer I dreamed of happy things Now my dreams have turned to nitemares Something in me has changed. You can’t take a life without feeling bad After awhile there are no feelings to be had. I once was a young man My eyes were bright and clear Now all I see is grey The colors have dissappered. Theres nothing left for me Just the end of the road I don’t know if I will ever… make it home. When I close my eyes I see the darkness inside. Its getting harder everyday to stay alive.
