Sea of Tears

I dreamt about this song before I wrote it. In my dream someone was saying these words, and I woke up with that sleep still in my eyes and wrote down as much of it as I could remember. It wrote itself from there--melody and rhythm and everything. When I described it to the band they understood what I was envisioning exactly, and when we rehearsed it for the first time in a hotel room in Raleigh we knew right away that it would be on our next record.
