I wrote this during my stint in NYC. I had particularly noisy upstairs neighbors and would hear them arguing from time to time. I didn't know their names and imagined what she might be feeling. I knew she was French and took liberty to write the rest of the song loosely based on her. Kind of my own personal "Luka."
