Description

Following the success of their 2010 debut album, "My Nothing," Post Adolescence returns as a quintet with their first in a series of singles, "Don't Walk Away." Showcasing the band's versatility, the track draws influences from the early American rock and roll sounds of the 50s and 60s. Recorded at Soul Kitchen Studios in Seattle and produced by Mark Clem, "Don't Walk Away" was specifically recorded for and featured on the 2011 International Pop Overthrow Festival compilation CD.

Lyrics

Staring at the ceiling, Afraid to feel anything. I'd call you, but I'm ashamed. It could have been said and done, But I had to have my fun And leave this mess behind, With no one left to clean it up. But you can't walk, you can't walk away Every time I say that I'm losing my mind again. I am the epitome Of too little too late, you see? A physical embodiment. It could have been said and won, But I had to have my fun And leave this all behind. There's nothing left, it's just decay. The canvas, the canvas was blank. I'm a damned fool, I threw it away For the sake of my bleeding heart. This can't be, this can't be the end. I apologize my friend For the pain that I left in your heart.
