Who is LiveViaSatellite? They are a dynamic group of artist/producers/composers/rappers/singers/songwriters and much, much more. This talented group not only created their own genre by combining HipHop, R&B, and Alternative, but they have vowed to make their mark by “Changing the Game” with their refreshing musical content. The band came together in early 2011 during a collaborative studio session. The group quickly realized that pooling together their gifts for music they could create something epic. In order to grasp the full scope of this group’s potential; one must first realize what talents each individual artist “bring to the table”. When it comes to music, PASSIONATE, is the one word that would best describe the artist known as 55. As a producer, composer, singer and songwriter, music has always been a strong presence in his life. Having a keen ear for music, 55 can play the piano, guitar and sing vocals. Since childhood, music was a love/love relationship. When he was 5 years old, he would dance and perform songs in front of his family and at age 12, his parents gave him his first home studio program. He quickly got to work, producing his own beats and writing his own songs. With the help and guidance of his uncle Chino, who shared his passion for music, the duo would spend countless hours perfecting and honing their skills together. As time passed, 55’s younger cousin Ace joined the production team and the three have been producing and writing a great number of songs. Apart from his production/songwriting skills, 55 is also an accomplished singer. Writing poetry and short stories as a child helped to develop and perfect his unique songwriting abilities. His gift for story telling allows him to craft a wide array of songs while his vocal range allows for a vivid picture to be painted. Growing up in Paterson, New Jersey Kese started with a curious and very mischievous attitude which often got him into tight situations. As a youngster, because of his temper issues, he had to ultimately be transferred into different learning disability programs in public school. Due to his mother's situation, Kese faced his first major change, in moving to Atlanta, Georgia. Maybe it was fate though, as it was here, he began writing daily. His influences were Wu-Tang Clan, 2pac, Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Jay-Z, Redman, Big Pun, and Big L. Moving back to New Jersey, Kese began to take writing lyrics seriously; always diverse enough to rhyme about anything relevant in his life. From his love for sports, to girls, to the surrounding violence, to his family situation - the subject matter would change often, but his lyrical ability was always strongly present. Change is something that has followed him his whole life, something he can accept. And because he can’t stop change, it isn't something he fears. Seitaro “Team No Respect” Nishiyama is an American multi-instrumentalist, composer, audio engineer, and producer. Heavily influenced by a variety of genres including Alternative, Hip Hop, and Industrial, he records every instrument on his compositions by himself. Although most noted as a guitarist, he is also proficient at bass, piano, and drum programming. At the young age of 9, T.N.R. realized his passion for music when he picked up his first instrument, the alto saxophone, which he played throughout High School. This played a crucial role in developing his sixth sense of classical music theory. As he became an adolescent, he acquired a taste for Alternative Rock, which ultimately led to him picking up his first guitar at the age of 13. While learning the instrument through his own ingenuity, he played in his first band at age 15. He experienced multiple live performances and recording sessions during the remainder of his High School career. In the years that followed, T.N.R. was enlightened through the art of digital recording and music composition. Through working on various projects ranging from composing Hip Hop beats to playing in a 90’s cover band, T.N.R. has conceived a sound with the perfect mixture of genres. WitZ aka Bryan Whitney is a New Jersey native Hip-Hop artist, writer, producer and audio engineer. He began writing and recording music in the second grade, at the age of 7, and has written and recorded more than 100 of his own songs. In his style of music, he chooses to distance himself from the commercial hip hop in favor of hard hitting lyrical content that the masses have been clamoring for. Music has been his love and passion his entire life and he has vowed to never let anything get in the way of that. WitZ attended the Institute of Audio Research in 2007 and graduated in 2008 in the top 5 percentile of his class. From there he went on to intern at Bad Boys’ Daddy’s House Recording Studio where he worked closely with and absorbed as much as he could from artists such as P Diddy, Mario Winnans, Cassie, Dawn Richard, Day 26, The Mad Rapper, Royce Da 5’9” and many more. Since interning he has performed with a live band at numerous small open mic venues, which has helped him to continue to master his craft. His latest release is a solo album entitled “Do it Again, Do it 1000 Times”. Question. What do you get when you combine a poet with a high IQ and a banging instrumental? Answer, Nyce Hoffa. This lyricist, Nyce Hoffa has garnered comparisons to emcees such as Jadakiss, DMX, and Tupac. Poised to take over what some critics perceive as a mundane rap game, his beginnings tell the tale of struggle, creativity, and perseverance. Nyce Hoffa, a Paterson NJ resident started using writing as a vice at a very young age. Having a strict, single Jamaican mother meant a lot of days inside surrounded by books. Problems at home soon left him searching for an out. Writing became that escape. He became heavily moved and influenced by Tupac Shakur. Using mainly poetry to vent his frustrations, he soon became an accomplished writer. Awards in school for these talents would soon follow. These talents however could not protect him from the allure of the street life he saw around him every day. After dabbling in the “hustler’s lifestyle”, his mother soon saw his potential downfall and took action. She believed heavily in education, which led her to put him in good schools, outside of their neighborhood. This steadied his focus. Starting in late 2000 he began writing to instrumentals and freestyling. Later on in 2001 he met Kese Soprano, and created the duo now known as “Tha Wrong Onez”. His journey would soon begin. Starting modestly in ciphers and freestyle battles, he developed venomous rhymes, as well as confidence in his ability. With little income and less knowledge of the nuances of recording, he recorded with a Sony Play station, a mixer, and a Radio Shack microphone. This setup permitted only one take per song. This potential setback help sharpen both his and his rap partner’s recording skills, mic presence and chemistry. He soon moved on to a 4 track, then a 6 track. With this he put together his 1st mix tape. Catching up with the time, Kese Soprano purchased a Roland vs 1824 for them to record on. They both started out as solo and group artists on local label, “Zooie Records”. He felt the artists got very little direction and guidance. Refusing to be deterred, Nyce Hoffa went on to record a slew of solo and group mix tapes. These included, “The Indictment”, and “Welcome To Silk City”. He received excellent reviews from local DJ pools. He soon upgraded to the industry standard Pro Tools. In late 2005, he met and impressed former Def Jam artist, Lady Luck. He recorded several songs with her and took part on a mini tour with her that same year. He then released his street acclaimed mix tape, “Can You Hear Me Now? Vol 1”. “The Resurrection” soon followed. In the summer of 2007 he traveled with Kese Soprano to California and purchased a small distribution company, and quickly turned it into Smart Money Enterprises, their Indie label. Since then many more songs, club singles and mix tapes have followed including “Destined to BE” and his most recent album released in January 2011 titled “Truth Be Told”. After releasing the much anticipated albums, Nyce Hoffa has created an ever growing online following. What do you get when you mix a Dreamer, Artist, Warrior, and a Hustler...Cuban XL.
