Grand Prize winner Porsche Smith's well-crafted guitar grooves and bluesy, nostalgic vocals portray emotion in her music that just doesn’t come around that often. Her original, singer/songwriter take on “Everybody Knows” clearly left its mark on the listeners as she climbed to the top of the charts.
Runner-up Wil Guice found a way do to his own unique rendition with an R&B groove. When he submitted his version of the song, the listeners were immediately responsive to its soulful, classic style.
Runner-up Michael Logen has certainly proven that he can craft a great cover song. With styles ranging from soft rock to alternative country, this artist has the power to reach listeners on many levels.
