Organic electronic.
Throw a Chemical Brother, a Super Nintendo, a dusty box of vinyl records, and a stockpile of synthesizers into a blender, and what do you get?
zircon – aka Andrew Aversa – has been fueling his electronic dance music releases and remixes with an unusual combination of sonic sources and influences for the last five years. It’s a recipe that has earned his second album Impulse Prime the "Best Techno Album" and "Best Techno Song" of the year at the Just Plain Folks awards in 2006.
Hailing from Pleasantville, NY, zircon taught himself the art of creating phat beats and huge synths during high school, after which he headed to Philadelphia to continue his studies in the way of the groove.
In addition to three albums and one EP released under the "zircon" moniker, Aversa has over a dozen remixes featured on OverClocked ReMix (from old-school video games), highly-lauded dance remixes of Philly-area rockers IKE and Octane, and licensed music for film, radio, TV, and video games, including the upcoming "Super Street Fighter II Turbo: HD Remix" for Xbox 360.

New tune for May.
Thanks for all the support last month! I’m glad I made it into the semifinals with “Throwdown”, and the finals with my collab w/ Jill Goldin, “Red July”.
This month I’m in a new category, Rock Instrumental, with a fun track called “House of Cards”. I don’t normally write non-electronic music but I thought this one had a catchy hook and good performances. Check it out and let me know what you think!

It's available on Beatport, iTunes, Amazon MP3, Juno Download, and various other online music retailers as a 2-song EP.
Thanks everyone for your support and comments so far. Please check out my new track "Photosynthesis" too!

The truth is all the pieces you write are so refreshing and different from one another
They're also always so smooth and perfectly masterized, I wish I could write such songs...
In the meanwhile, I think I'll just buy all your CDs and continue voting for you XD
Keep up the good work man!
