In 2003 the idea for Wanted Tambo Toco came up and in the same year Silke von Durschefsky realized the project with three musicians from the Leipzig music scene. Only one year later the first CD “Holy Dance which included eleven songs, was released. Since autumn 2007 Sabine Spiehl (violin, backgrounds), Rik Paul Ullrich (guitar, backgrounds) and Arne Dreßler (E-piano) have supported the performance of the front woman with brilliant solos and forceful backgrounds.
Influences from singer / songwriter, folk, blues, country and psychedelic; melt into a thrilling musical magic potion.
In spring 2008 the second studio-CD "Sense in Your Life“ will be released.
Silke von Durschefsky finds the ideas for her lyrics in her daily life and in encounters with people from other cultures. Above all, the life of the Native Americans is a great source of inspiration for her and helps the songwriter to create many of her spiritual lyrics. Again and again it is the belief in love and friendship she is appealing to. Often the songs speak of a hidden inner knowledge and a holy power leading the way in your life.
