With its emotional lyrics and heavy rock sound, local band Unchained quickly Became a favorite of music listeners in the St. Louis area. After getting to know each other through mutual friends, the original members formed the band in 1999. There were some changes in the lineup, but as the band stood a couple years ago the members were singer Matt Zeiss, guitarists Corey arch and Chris Ward, bass player Buddy Mueller and drummer Shane Brown. They have played at St.Louis venues such as Mississippi Nights, St. Louis University, Pops and MOJO's. Unchained has shared the stage with New Found Glory, Jimmy Eat World, Breaking Benjamin, OK GO and Sugarcult.
