About tracydel

Portrait of tracydel
Part of what makes Tracy De Lucia unique is that her brand of country-rock is being developed in New York, not the most fertile ground for the genre. And her name is not Twain or Hill or Wilson - it's De Lucia, a name that doesn’t immediately invoke “country.” Yet, Tracy is capturing a niche, breaking barriers, and finding success.

After hearing the song “I Need You” for the first time during a live on-air radio promotion, prominent Hudson Valley DJ Woodman proclaimed “that's the best song I've heard in a long time.” “I Need You” also placed as a finalist within the country genre in a VH-1 Save the Music sponsored Song of the Year contest.

Cover Zone CD reviewer and morning drive DJ Marie Atwell has said that “Tracy’s song “A Girl’s Night Out” could easily be sitting on top of the country charts right now! The song makes you want to crank up the volume and leave it there for the entire album.”

Fans have told her “your CD is what I play when I want to get my day started” and after hearing her rendition of The Rose “now I understand what Idol judges mean when they say make the song your own.”

Tracy has sometimes been compared to Pat Benetar and other times Dolly Parton. She gets big audience reaction when she covers Melissa Etheridge. Linda Ronstadt was always on the stereo when Tracy was a young child. Later on, her ears consumed an almost exclusive diet of Mariah Carey. Somewhere in the mix of those five vocal influences, you'll find the heart of Tracy De Lucia. Musically, publishers have said they could hear her songs being sung by Sara Evans, Gretchen Wilson, or Terri Clark.

Listen to her CD “In the Moment” and you'll be treated to a crafty flow of up-tempo and mid-tempo songs as well as ballads. Lyrically, they touch on topics such as a girls night out, her children, life's lessons learned, relationship themes, living your dreams, and living with the good memories of a lost spouse.

Tracy De Lucia is an independent singer/songwriter. She performs guitar-driven country rock with strong rock and pop vocals and plays regularly in the Hudson Valley NY area. She has sung our National Anthem for The Westchester Police Academy, The Staten Island Yankees, and The Hudson Valley Renegades

There are few places Tracy would rather be than in front of a live audience kicking off the first song of the first set. Come see a live show and you'll hear all of her original music, plus modern country and rock covers.
