"For He has torn us, that He may heal us; He has struck us down, and He will bind us up"
Torndown is a Christian Rock band whose roots are in central Connecticut. The band consists of the following members:
Tim Irish – Vocals/Guitars/Keys
Dan Bolduc – Vocals/Guitars
Kevin Zufall - Bass Guitar
Jonah Sullivan - Drums
Tim was playing in a garage band in East Hartford, Connecticut in 1999. Seeking a second guitarist, Tim was introduced to Dan through some friends. Since then, the two have ridden the rollercoaster of making music and developing their talents over the past 9 years. During this time, they overcame many obstacles that stood in the way of them pursuing their dream of making music; the biggest being in 2004 when, for his job, Tim was relocated to Virginia.
In 2005, Dan found Christ with the help of his girlfriend Beth (now wife), and her family. In the fall of 2007, the same job that separated the two brought them back together in Connecticut. Dan’s newly-found faith gave him a renewed drive to make music; music with a message. This meshed well with Tim's ever-present beliefs and gave them both the passion to set out on this new purpose-driven musical endeavor.
The two pondered a name for their new band and came up with torndown. It was inspired from a Bible verse found in Hosea 6:1 “Come, let us return to the Lord, for He has torn us, that He may heal us; He has struck us down, and He will bind us up.” This verse proved to be reality for the two, as it was evident that God was at work in both of their lives; tearing them down, only to rebuild them stronger and renewed.
The inclusion of bass guitar and drums came roughly a year after starting the band. Kevin brings the needed low end playing bass guitar and finds himself inspired by means of fresh new lyrics that the band has begun implenting. Jonah hailing from Indiana, and being the newest member of torndown is in the process of moving to the eastcoast to begin drumming and performing with these Christian rockers.
Torndown's music has both rock and pop influences, from Bethany Dillon to Mainstay, to Kutless and 12 Stones. Their chord progressions blend well with the two frontmen's catchy vocal melodies, adding the perfect amount of seasoning to the sounds of this up and coming band.
What sets them apart is their unique way of delivering vocals, sharing pieces of each song between the two singers. Created in honor of their Maker, torndown's music features the likes of striking harmonies and driving guitar riffs.
Just recently, all the needed musicians to form torndown into a full rock band are in place. While they work out their new sounds, they are happy now writing and performing acoustically.
With the release on their acoustic ep, torndown is prepared to reach out to all who will listen. Spotlighting the mercy, grace, and glory of God, torndown hopes to help other Christians (as well as themselves) become closer to Him through their music; as well as bring His word to those who haven’t yet heard it.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have several gigs that I may need another band to help out here in CT. I will definetely keep Torndown in mind. We are almost neighbors and I'd love to meet you guys sometime. We've been at this for about two years and we do it for Him. Hey, how do you like that Taylor? I'm looking to pick up a T-5 for Christmas! I'm playing a Martin DC-Aura and ready to trade.
Peace
Dan
God Bless!!!!!!!!!! Keep praising God!!!
