Thank you for taking the opportunity to let me introduce my band. We are called To Outlive The Beginning. We are a 5-piece metal band (with hardcore and rock influences as well) out of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. We come from a former coal mining area that has an overall depressed attitude, and not very many things for young people to do. However, with all negativity aside, we are fortunate enough to be a part of an aspiring music scene. Even though we are a metal band, through my lyrics, I have always tried to position our band as a positive one. I would rather kids listen to our music and feel inspired to take action within their own lives, rather than look to us as the next big trend of death metal. Its not our goal to be on the next Texas Chainsaw movie soundtrack. Its our goal to play music we are passionate about to people who are passionate about real music. In the end we aren’t here forever, its our memory and the impact we make that will outlive us.
