Tiff Randol
I was a wild child, running around naked at 4 AM every night blasting records on my Fisher-Price record player. Playful, intense, sensitive – a typical Scorpio.
It's about the same now, only a couple decades later.
Got my feet wet playing rock-n-roll in New York. Played a lot of fantastic shows, ran around in caution tape, dove off a drumset into a Jell-O pit and had a blast.
While I was having the time of my life - I wasn't satisfied. There was more I wanted to express, so I took a step back, did a lot of soul searching and decided to make the record you'll be reading about over the next few months.
I didn't think I could do it. It paralyzed me, and it kept me from being free musically.
I didn't have the money.
I didn't have the experience.
I didn't have.
I didn’t have.
Then I realized it was all bullsh*t. What makes music beautiful are the mistakes. The most genius solos are the ones made from mistakes and a brilliant recovery.
So I decided to have a go at it in my home studio and felt like I was three again with complete abandon. I wasn't trying to please anyone and had no agenda, other than to play. What I ended up with was the most honest thing I've ever produced in my life. Kiss Me Kiss Me is a preview of the album "Polyamorous", which explores a world of love and relationships I never knew existed before. It was inspired by many people and many experiences, hence the tub of lemons ;)
The word polyamorous to me was something I stumbled upon in my adventures and fell in love with. poly meaning many, more than one and amorous meaning full of love, in love, enamored.
I think in a way we are all polyamorous, so my album is dedicated to that part of you that screams freedom, unconditional love, and play.
